The instrument.

Profaci shows how a criminal organization can wrap itself in family language, business respectability, and communal symbols. Identity becomes a binding force as much as money or fear.

The strategic lesson is that people obey stories, not only threats. The strongest systems often give members a sense of place.

The warning.

Sacred language can be stolen by corrupt order. Profaci belongs here because he shows how tradition and piety can become cover unless they remain answerable to justice.
